Neon Drift Club

Neon Drift Club is pure arcade racing joy. You're chaining drifts through glowing city tracks, and the controls are forgiving enough to feel good in a minute but tricky enough to master over hours. Tilt or touch steering both work well, which is not a given.

All the tracks and cars are available offline once installed, and the ghost races run locally against your own best times. Chasing your own ghost turned out to be weirdly addictive on late night bus rides.

The soundtrack does a lot of heavy lifting here, and I mean that as a compliment. Turn it up and even a short race feels like an event. My only gripe is a slightly thin selection of tracks.
